I suffer from major FOMO. I just want to be in the know about everything, however that’s just so unrealistic. With my current busy schedule I really don’t have time to do all the things I want or try out half the products I’m dying to get my hands on. This product however was not going to slip through my fingers. Everyone has been raging about Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water. It’s been all over my instagram and twitter. I started feeling totally left out and so I went out on a hunt. For about two weeks I struggled to get my hands on it. It was SOLD OUT everywhere. A shopaholics worst nightmare come true. Eventually though, I did manage to find my treasure and I was beyond excited to try it out.
Micellar water is basically a makeup remover. The product is made up of oil molecules. Before everyone with oily skin starts freaking out, take a deep breathe and calm the farm. The product never feels oily. It is a non-rinse solution, in other words it’s perfect for all those lazy girls that hate washing there faces after a long night of partying.
I purchased the Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water for Combination to Oily & Sensitive skin as well as the Micellar Cleansing Water for Sensitive Skin (hypoallergenic). I have been switching between the two and have come to a final conclusion. Where have you been all my life? This stuff is magic in a bottle. I now understand all the rage and fuss over the micellar water. It’s so AH-MAZING! All you need is a cotton pad and BOOM, makeup gone. The product doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight, in fact it feels refreshed. I would advise however, if you suffer from very dry skin, to make sure you have a decent hydrating moisturizer to apply afterwards as the product does contain alcohol. The Micellar water comes in a 400ml packaging and only costs R74.99. How incredible is that.
The water has no fragrance to it and is perfect for all skin types. My skin chooses to be extremely fussy at times, but I can happily say that it has had no bad reactions to the product. If anything, my skin is looking clearer. I do a double cleanse every evening. I generally start with the cleansing water and then follow it up with my usual cleansing routine. If my makeup isn’t too heavy, I will then just remove everything with the cleansing water. That’s the lazy girl in me.
I have a feeling a lot of brands that have their own makeup removers are going to have to up their game big time. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is really worth the purchase. You won’t be disappointed!
If you have tried the product I would love to hear your thoughts on it?
I hope you are all having a fabulous week!
