Lately I have been testing out a bunch of products as I am trying to change up my skin care routine. Don’t get me wrong Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit skin care range has been amazing and will always be one of my favourite products to use. However, sometimes it’s good for some change. I thought I’d share my thoughts on a product I have been using as of late. I have always had my eye on the Human+Kind Cleanser but found it a little difficult to find it in store. Luckily I managed to pick it up at the Cresta Clicks about 2 months ago.
The packaging is what actually caught my eye. It’s so bright and cute. Great packaging is always a winner with me. Human+Kind was started by two Dutch men, Rene van Willigen & Jeroen Proos. Human+Kind see themselves as a movement. They believe that “human kindness is the balm of life” – being kind to others starts with being kind to yourself – and so they aimed to create a sensational natural beauty product for women. Human+Kind products are not tested on animals. They are free from any petrochemicals, sulphates, parabens and additives. The products are hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin. Which is a big thing for me, my skin loves being difficult. I usually break out in red blotches all over my skin and they tend to go away after about an hour or so.
I picked up the Wash Off Facial Cleaner. It promises exceptionally soft, clear and dirt free skin. The creamy formula is meant to moisturize, replenish your skin with it’s natural oils and remove all traces of makeup. Along with your cleanser you receive a reusable cleansing cloth which is meant to help exfoliate your skin. The product contains Centella Asiatica, Rosheip seed oil and Aloe Vera.
So the final verdict?
I had a bit of a freak out session as I started using the product because my skin started to tingle a little. With my skin that means one thing… hello blotchy itchy redness. To my surprise as I washed it off, there was none of that. My skin felt silky smooth. The creamy formula feels extremely gentle on my skin and it has a very pleasant natural smell to it. The tingling still happens from time to time but I am quite use to it. The cleanser does a great job at removing light to medium make-up applications. I did find that I had to do a double cleanse if my eye make-up was a little heavier. So I have resorted to using Garnier’s Micellar Water to remove my eye make-up and then I do a full cleanse with Human+Kind cleanser. The wash cloth is a great added bonus to the cleansing product. My skin feels a lot softer, I don’t break out on my forehead anymore and my skin is looking a lot healthier. I give the au natural product a thumbs up. All in all, it is a great product to try out.
Have you tried it? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I hope you all have an absolutely fabulous day!
