All of us have heard the term “Life’s too short” and it really is. We all take it for granted. It’s so sad that it takes someone’s passing to make you realise just how precious our time on this earth is. Tomorrow is not promised. It’s a sad reality. In the busy hustle and bustle of life I think we all forget to step back and actually enjoy our lives, well at least I know that I do. We get into such a routine; wake up, eat, work, eat some more, gym (for some of us) sleep… repeat. Life is far too short to be living the same day twice. I want to be happy with my life, I want to wake up every morning with no regrets, no what ifs. I want to chase after my dreams as if today was my last day. I want to find happiness in every day and surround myself with people that add value to my life. I think everyone should strive to do that. Of course life throws you curve balls, it’s the only way we can grow and learn. Take that curve ball and show it how’s boss.
Recently S and I have been taking steps towards, what we think is, a better future for us. Him and I are both really passionate about videography. We love capturing moments. Creating epic content. So instead of us sitting around talking about it all the time we have put it into action. If not now, then when? I’m petrified, I have a lot to learn but I know in the end this will make me happy.
Life is about taking risks. I think we are all to scared to take them because we are far to focused on what we could loose. So I’m here to encourage you and motivate you, take that leap whatever it may be. Even if it takes you a while to get there, at least you’ve started. Do it because you never know just how perfect things could turn out. Always remind yourself that you are strong, you are passionate, you have what it takes to live your best life. The only person stopping you, is you! Stop sitting around and thinking “gosh I need a holiday” and just go on one (this is me talking to myself now). Save up, do whatever it takes, pack your bags and go. Stop thinking that you can’t because anything is possible with the right attitude and determination. There is no satisfaction in playing it safe all the time. I feel like that’s all I have been doing. As morbid as this is, I want to be happy the day I pass. I want to leave this planet knowing that I did everything I wanted to and more. That I lived the life I wanted with absolutely ZERO regret. Always remember this:
“In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.”

One of my favourite places to go is the park. I absolutely love going for picnics, lying under the trees, listening to nature, reading a book. The ultimate relaxation and that’s something I haven’t done in a while. S, if you are reading this… take me on a picnic date dammit! I took a trip to Emmarentia Dam, in Johannesburg, with photographer Devon Swanepoel (Insta Handle: Devon. Grant.photography) to snap a few pictures of my outfit. The rose garden there is so magical. The colours are absolutely incredible. Flowers make me so happy. Thank you Devon for snapping these beautiful pics of my outfit.
I have been asked none stop about this Bardot bodysuit that I recently purchased from Forever New. I am absolutely in love with it. It is so pretty and feminine. I paired it with my Forever New Ivy denims and my favourite pair of Nude shoes from Rubi Shoes. My tan sling bag is from Colette Hayman, it’s become my go to bag. It’s small but it can fit so much.
