That's Totally Fetch

Skip Fashion Exchange

“Yes it’s ladies night and the feelings right… OH Yes it’s ladies night – OH what a night!”

And what a night it was. Last Thursday I attended the final Skip Fashion Exchange for 2014. A night filled with fabulous music from the Shoo Wop Shop, exquisite food, great vibes and a venue filled with crazy fashion enthusiasts just like me. What more could a girl as for?

The evening took place at The Forum, Turbine Hall in Joburg and was hosted by Bonang Matheba, who looked like a total minx in her LBD. The Skip Fashion Exchange is all about “an eco-fabulous way to share the love for clothes.” Along side Bonang, the gorgeous Alexis Chaffe gave us an update on the latest fashion trends for Spring/Summer. All the outfits that were up on stage could be won by ladies in the audience. Once dinner was over, the fun started. On your marks… get set… and SHOP! Each lady is to bring 3 items of clothing from home, the items must be in mint condition. These 3 items are your ticket to 3 new items. The exchange was a bit of a mad house, it reminded me of the YDE Naked Sale. Every girl on the hunt for those 3 new items. The evening was such an experience and so much fun. A night definitely not to be missed, the perfect ladies night out. I will definitely keep my eye out for the next Skip Fashion Exchange and I will share it with you Lovelies.

During the course of the evening Bonang shed some light on The Princess Project. It is an initiative which lets ladies who were fortunate enough to have their very own matric dance dresses donated to the less fortunate. So if your dress is sitting in your closet collecting dust just like mine, do the right thing and give a girl the opportunity to feel like the true Princess she really is.

Skip has a great competition running, where you can stand a chance to win a R5000 voucher from Spree. Follow the link below and add a comment about your Three Word Wardrobe for the day. Good Luck 🙂
