That's Totally Fetch

Dove Advanced Hair Series

Ola Chickas,

I am always on the hunt for new hair care products. I try change up my hair care routine every 2 months or so because I don’t want my hair to get too used to a product as I put my hair through a lot and I feel bad. So to make myself feel better, I try treat it as much as possible. After my beach holiday, my hair seemed a bit dry and lifeless and so I decided to switch up my hair care routine. Even though I absolutely love the Matrix Biolage Kertaindose (read more…) it was time to try something new.

I decided to give the new Dove Advanced hair series a shot. The range launched towards the end of last year. In store, I have only come across the Oxygen Moisture, for fine/flat hair, and the Pure Care Dry Oil, for dull/dry hair. I obviously picked up the Pure Care Dry Oil shampoo, conditioner & nourishing treatment mask. I have been using it for about a month and a half now.

The product has quite a pleasant smell to it. I have been complimented a few times on how nice my hair smells. I can’t quite put my finger on the scent but trust me, it’s pretty! At first, I didn’t see much of a difference, I guess I’ll write it off to being impatient. After a week and a half my hair started feeling a lot softer and it was super shiny. My hair seemed to get softer and softer after every wash. It got some life knocked into it and I was loving it.

The Pure Care oil range contains African Macadamia oil. Many people think that adding oil to your hair will make your hair greasy but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It all depends on the type of oil that is applied. The fatty acid in macadamia oil helps add strength and shine to your hair as well as nourishes it. It even prevents a dry scalp.

Doves promise:

“It deeply nourishes and beautifies hair with lustrous shine and up to 5x silkier texture.”

And they totally delivered. Have you tried Doves new advanced series? What are your thoughts on it? Just remember, just because a certain product works for me doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for you. However, this is definitely worth a shot if you struggling with dry and dull hair.
