That's Totally Fetch

Over the past few weeks I’ve been asking myself if change is always good? A lot of change is happening in my life and I’m trying to figure out a way to get comfortable with it. I will be moving out of my home of nearly 5 years. My birth month is coming up and therefore aging is in the mix as well. A part of me is super excited (about the move that is) and the other part is sad. I have realised that my biggest issue is that I’m too comfortable with how my life is at the moment. Moving is a mission and I’m sad to let go of my first home. I then came across this quote and it made a lot of sense to me:

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

Change will happen, it’s bound to, it’s life. I need to embrace it. Instead of run from it. By me being stubborn and stuck in my ways, it’s making a stressful situation even worse. Sadly in this life nothing stays the same forever and the sooner we accept that, the easier change will be. I need to look at the positives and see this as a new adventure. My human suggested that when we move, that I turn one of our spare bedrooms into my beauty room, that gives me something to really look forward to. We are even thinking of throwing a puppy into the mix. Nothing would make my heart happier. So, if you are in a similar situation and find yourself a little lost just know that you aren’t alone. Change is scary but you’ll adapt. See it as an opportunity of growth, a learning curve and most of all the beginning of a new adventure. You got this!

The change of season has been a little odd here in South Africa. Autumn is suppose to be a lot chillier this time of year but Johannesburg is still a scorcher during the day. The chill is there during the early hours of the morning and late night but it’s nothing major. I’m finding it so difficult to put together an outfit for the day but I don’t want to complain too much as I’m definitely not a cold lover. Today’s outfit post has really become one of my go to looks. Super laid back but still stylish. This pink blazer from H&M is the business. I love that it can add a pretty pop of colour to any outfit. Thanks to GDG Photography for my shoot!
