Today I come to you with yet another skincare post. You guys know how much I obsess over skincare. I am a major fan of masks, I feel as if it’s the best treat for your skin. I do my absolute best to mask at least twice a week and where I can three times a week. The L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks have been a staple in my skincare routine, I have tried other masks but always find myself going back to them. L’Oreal already have the detox, purity and glow masks. So, when I heard that two more Pure Clay Masks were being released, I got really excited. Introducing to you the two new members of the family: The Bright Mask and the Blemish Rescue Mask.
The Bright Mask is a beautiful yellow shade and smells so divine, if you are into zesty citrus-y smells then you will love this. Yuzu lemon extract is the main active ingredient in the Bright Mask, the extract has energizing, toning and brightening properties. The mask also features a blend of three pure clay masks. The texture of the mask is creamy and it is filled with a natural exfoliator. The little micro-beads will help deep cleanse your pores and get rid of any dead skin cells. What I love doing is once the mask has completely dried on my face, instead of just rinsing it off, I add a smidge of water to my hands and work the mask into my skin. This gives my skin a proper exfoliating treatment. The mask was designed specifically for ethnic skin, however if you do suffer with uneven skin tone, I am pretty sure that no matter your skin color the mask will work wonders. The mask left my skin feeling super refreshed and soft.
The Blemish Rescue Mask is a smurf blue color, so if ever you dreamed about being a smurf, L’Oreal has made that dream a reality. The mask also features a blend of three pure clay masks and is enriched with marine algae. The thought of algae freaks me out lol, however this may make you think twice about marine algae, it contains anti-blemish and anti-inflammatory properties. The main aim of the mask is to unclog blackheads and clear any imperfections. My skin did feel a wee bit dry after using this mask, however I just popped on some of my L’Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew cream and my skin felt incredible.
The masks come in a 50ml glass bottle with a green screw on lid. You can get a good 10 applications out of a jar. I usually multi-mask with my masks, applying one of the five masks to different areas on my face, depending on my skins current issues. The masks each retail for R149.95 at your local Clicks or Dischem stores.
