I’m really struggling to wrap my head around the fact that we are more than half way through this year. Where has the time gone? I feel like the older you get the faster time flies. Winter is almost over and I couldn’t be happier. If you are a regular reader you will know that I have spent a lot of time this year working on myself. Trying to figure a few things out.
As much as I hate to admit it, one of my biggest problems was caring what others thought of me. This is something I have been working on. Why do we care so much? The best thing I did for myself was learning to let go. You can’t make everyone happy, even though I wish I could. Not everyone will agree with your life decisions or behavior. And so what! It’s your life. We all have moments in our lives that are cringe worthy. That one tequila shot you shouldn’t have taken but you did and things landed up going south, that time you should have kept your thoughts to yourself but it just came out like word vomit, that outfit you thought you looked super sexy in but actually you looked like something that popped out a Walmart meme. Having those cringe worthy moments is what makes life interesting. We really need to stop caring about peoples views of ourselves and just do what feels right. “No Ragrets!” That should be everyone’s credo. We take ourselves too seriously and we shouldn’t. We need to learn to laugh at ourselves and accept the fact that it’s OK to make an ass of yourself every once in a while. Throughout your life there will be times where you will disappoint your friends and family. It’s inevitable, none of us are perfect. Mistakes need to be made so lessons can be learned. At the end of it all your friends and family will build a bridge and get over it.
The way I see it, if you don’t like me or what I do or how I act then move along. Nobody is forcing you to stick around. I’m rather chuffed with the person that I am and I will not change for anyone. There is nothing more freeing than not giving too hoots about what others thing. LOVE YOU, because the you that you are is pretty freaken awesome and no ones opinion should matter except your own. At the end of the day you have to live with you.
I could definitely live in a shirt dress for the rest of my life. They are so comfy and stylish. The best part is that you can dress them up or down. Refinery has some amazing shirt dresses, this checkered one made my heart melt.

“Nobody can make you happy until you are happy with yourself.” Have fun and just enjoy your life. You only live once, so you have to make the best of it. Life’s too short to live it the way other people think you should.
